Scouts Collect Hundreds of Items for Ronald McDonald House
February 27 - Norton, Ohio
Our scouts collected hundreds of food and household items over the last month!

At this year's Blue & Gold Banquet they turned them all in. Several Cub Scouts were assisted by Boy Scouts from Troop 132, and delivered it all to the Akron Ronald McDonald House across from Children's Hospital. Afterwards the scouts were given a tour of the house and got to see what their efforts were doing to help.

Ronald McDonald House wishes to say "Thank you scouts!"

Slip Slidin' Sledding at Firestone MetroPark
February 28 - Akron, Ohio
Sledding Event    Thanks to the efforts of the MetroPark Rangers providing a warming fire, and Mr. Walton providing hot chocolate, our annual sledding event was a lot of fun! Firestone MetroPark is a great hill to slide on because it is so long!

We had a very nice attendance of scouts and their families. The snow turned out to be a bit wet which slowed our sleds down, but wet snow is great for packing snowballs! We had a 10 person snowball fight going for quite a while!

With all the snow this year, planning for this event was easy!

Cider Festival Parade was a Real Winner
September 27 - Norton, Ohio
Our pack had a very interesting entry into this year's parade. Our Webelo honor scouts did an admirable job leading us with the Colors. They were followed by an ATV which celebrated our Pack's three years in a row of winning the District Pinewood Derby race.

Being pulled by the ATV was a Cubmobile built by Den 8! Then the Bears rode bikes and were followed by the Wolves and Tigers who rode in a pickup truck and trailer. Everyone looked very good this year!

Thanks to Mr. Tom Crews for the ATV and Brian's Landscaping for the trailer!

Cub Scouts Turn Akron Aeros Stadium Into Tent City
July 23 - Akron, Ohio
Cub Scout Tent City    Cub Scout Packs from all around the Akron area, including scouts from several 3132 dens, swarmed Canal Park Stadium for the annual "Canal Park Campout".

After watching the Aeros trounce the Trenton Thunder, scouts scurried back to their cars to grab their camping gear and be re-admitted to the park. Once their tents were pitched, it was on to the fun as the Canal Park staff inflated a giant slide and set up a whiffle ball home run derby. Scouts enjoyed a movie before heading back to their tents for the night.

Pack Families Enjoy Hocking Hills State Park
June 25-26 - Logan, Ohio
Several Pack 3132 families went on an overnight family outing "down South". Southern Ohio that is! Hocking Hills State Park is a wonderful series of rock outcroppings, erosions, and one genuine cave.

A hiker's delight, Hocking Hills also has numerous area campgrounds in which to pitch a tent. Families chose Top-O-The-Caves campground to stay the night, cool off in the swimming pool, and enjoy a great evening meal before setting off for a second day of sightseeing. This was a fantastic trip, and the pictures help show just how breathtaking this natural wonder really is.
